Located on the Central Pacific Coast, the town of Jacó is only an hour and half away from Costa Rica’s international airport in Alejuela (just outside of San José) and one hour from the Escazu / Santa Ana area.
Not only does Jacó hold prime surfing and bathing beaches nestled at the base of waterfall filled mountain rainforests, but it is also a sport fishing mecca and has the amenities that larger towns have to offer, such as: full sized super markets and hardware stores restaurants, night clubs and neighborhood bars, and lodging that ranges from hostels and cabinas at $10-$20 per night all the up to über luxurious mansions.
Jacó acts as a hub and rally point for other great excursions along the Pacific Coast. The world famous Manuel Antonio National park is located only one hour south and the city of Puntarenas only one hour to the north. You can also catch a Jet Ferry to Mal Pais on the Guanacaste peninsula.
